aka PEG LEG MEG

Megan Pascoe — affectionately known as Peg Leg Meg — is a storyteller, adaptive athlete, and advocate whose life changed dramatically in October 2024. Just one week after marrying the love of her life, Megan was involved in a traumatic accident with a ride-on lawn mower that resulted in the amputation of her leg.

What could have ended in despair became the start of a powerful journey of resilience and reinvention. Megan began documenting her recovery on TikTok and YouTube, building a community that now follows her story of determination, humour, and hope. Through sharing both the challenges and triumphs of her new reality, she has become a relatable and authentic voice for people navigating life-changing adversity.

Her journey has taken her far beyond the hospital walls. Megan launched her own podcast, creating space for raw conversations about resilience, identity, and personal growth. She discovered adaptive sports and went on to represent Australia as part of the Women’s Sitting Volleyball Team, competing internationally. She also authored a candid book that captures the raw reality of her first twelve months as an amputee — a period marked by pain, perseverance, and unexpected strength.

At her core, Megan is a wife and mother who believes life doesn’t end after trauma — it simply takes a new shape. She champions the idea that with courage, vulnerability, and community, anyone can rise from life’s most difficult chapters and create something extraordinary.

Today, Megan continues to use her platform to inspire, educate, and empower others, proving that resilience isn’t about bouncing back — it’s about moving forward, one step (or one prosthetic stride) at a time.
